From her start as a manicurist, Jessica has pioneered the way we think about nails. All nails are not alike. Nails have their own physiology, just like hair and skin. She learned the biology of the nails, its structure and conditions, and its ability to heal and grow. Focused on natural nails, Jessica made a commitment to grooming and the lifelong health of nails that lead to founder firsts in the professional nail industry.
1969 – Opened the first Nails only Salon in the world, calling it a “Clinic “ and her manicurists and pedicurists “Nail Cultivists” First to use heated mittens and booties during manicures and pedicures to soften and smooth skin; Invented “The Natural Nail Transplant® procedure to invisibly repair breaks that last until nails grow out
1971 - Named “First Lady of Nails” by the New York Times, and manicurist to the Stars…created her signature “natural manicure,” known today as the French Manicure
1978 – First to develop a Natural Nail Cultivation System® that analyzes nail types: Dry, Brittle, Normal, and Damaged; and provides solution-based nail treatments for the health and growth of nails
1979 – First company to introduce telemarketing to the professional nail industry
1980 – First company to bring professional nail care to Japan
1982 – First natural nail care line to be introduced to distributors in the USA
1992 – At height of acrylic market, JESSICA opened distribution in the United Kingdom; the UK remains Jessica's number one market today
2010 – Introduced the next generation of soak-off gel products in a bottle called Professional GELeration® Soak-Off Gel System
2013 – Jessica honored by Glamour Magazine as an iconic influence in the world of glamour
2014 – Introduced the next evolution in nail polish: Phenom Polish System
